About

me

You always want to know who you are trusting with your hard work; so, here's a little bit about me.

To begin with, I am the mother of three girls, grandmother to seven amazing children (four boys, three girls), proud wife of a member of the Canadian Forces, former security guard, and chattel of a Yorkie/Shih Tzu named Maddie. I am a college graduate twice over; two years of Law and Security at Sir Sandford Fleming College and one year of PSW--Health Care through The Canadian Red Cross (remote through Trios College). I have recently (February 2015) obtained certification for Teach English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) (http://www.learntefl.com/courses/) and certification for a Screenwriting Course (Film) from Industrial Scripts (http://screenplayscripts.com/).

I am constantly striving to expand my knowledge to better help others and see every day as a new opportunity to achieve something.

I started editing with Death Throes Webzine thanks to R.M. DuChene.  He has mentored and encouraged me to not only expand in editing, but also to write my own work. Although I will not promote my own work on this site, it may appear if involved in collaborations or anthologies. My intention is not promote my own writing.

When I am not editing or having my attention taken by Maddie, I spend all the time I can with my husband. We take as many rides on the bike as possible during the good weather, go camping when time permits, or do our own things together. During the insane winters, I find every reason to enjoy the majestic beauty of our Canadian winter from the warmth of indoors and secretly indulge in my artistic side.

“It's never too late--in fiction or in life--to revise.”
